I can offer bespoke packages of individual or small group psychological support for children and young people, usually based upon cognitive behavioural approaches or other psychological frameworks. I have previously been commissioned to do this focused on the following topics: video interaction guidance, social communication skills, anxiety management, anger management, behaviour management, transition to secondary school and establishing and facilitating wellbeing support groups for black pupils in white majority schools.
I have developed bespoke workshops, such as one called “sharpening your communication skills” for 50 female pupils from black African and Caribbean backgrounds aged 13-18 as part of a charity career’s day. This project was commissioned by the charitable organisation called Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders.
I have specialist experience in supporting young people aged 16+. I offer bespoke support packages to teenagers and young adults to support their educational attainment and planning. Examples of ways I could support young adults are through exploring learning styles and helping to identify effective study skills/plans, goal setting and aspiration exploration (using techniques stemming from motivational interviewing approaches) and exam anxiety management.
